Registered Clinical Counsellor
Teresa holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#22522). She uses a strengths-based approach, empowering clients to see the light and resiliency within themselves. Teresa believes that humans are not broken or in need of fixing; rather, they are reminded of who they are and what they have overcome.
Teresa excels at creating a strong therapeutic relationship through empathetic, non-judgmental curiosity, providing a safe container for individuals to explore past painful experiences that impact current emotions and behaviors. Her primary therapeutic modalities include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work, and Polyvagal theory.
Prior to becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Teresa was a Women’s National Team rowing athlete. She has nearly ten years of experience supporting the mental health and well-being of children and adults in various settings, including public and private school systems, as well as the non-profit sector.
